Iman (pdt. Awi)

Cerita Iman Bersama Tuhan
Pak Awi adalah salah satu pengkhotbah favorit saya. :D

2. Iman akan bertumbuh ketika kita menghadapi cobaan
Semakin abraham dipersulit oleh keadaan semakin bertumbuh imannya.
Karena ketika kita menghadapi cobaan kita baru mengerti betapa kecilnya kita, betapa kita sangat butuh Tuhan.

Ibrani 11:32
adakah cerita iman kita diingat oleh orang lain? :)
buatlah cerita iman anda bersama dengan Tuhan!

The Unshakable Kingdom (pdt. Takeshi)

You are chosen to be in God's unshakable kingdom.

Matius 5:14-16
* God has chosen you to be light! you are the light of the world because he has chosen you.
You are chosen to be God's light!

Matius 6:25-33
* Dont worry.... because youre chosen
Just stop worrying! we should put God's kingdom first.

* You are valuable
Sebesar itulah hargamu..
kamu berharga, Tuhan hanya ingin kamu memprioritaskan kerajaan-Nya.
1 timotius 1:15-16

* Seek first God's kingdom
Put God's first more than anything!

Matius 7:7-11
* Believe in God
No Jesus no fish... with Jesus too much fish
trust God! dont lose your faith easily!

Amazing God is amazing

LOVE LANGUAGE

What if you could say or do just the right thing guaranteed to make that special someone feel loved? The secret is learning the right love language! Millions of couples have learned the simple way to express their feelings and bring joy back into marriage: The 5 Love Languages, Dr. Gary Chapman’s New York Times bestseller!

*Words of Affirmation

Actions don’t always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words, “I love you,” are important—hearing the reasons behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten.

*Quality Time

In the vernacular of Quality Time, nothing says, “I love you,” like full, undivided attention. Being there for this type of person is critical, but really being there—with the TV off, fork and knife down, and all chores and tasks on standby—makes your significant other feel truly special and loved. Distractions, postponed dates, or the failure to listen can be especially hurtful.

*Receiving Gifts

Don’t mistake this love language for materialism; the receiver of gifts thrives on the love, thoughtfulness, and effort behind the gift. If you speak this language, the perfect gift or gesture shows that you are known, you are cared for, and you are prized above whatever was sacrificed to bring the gift to you. A missed birthday, anniversary, or a hasty, thoughtless gift would be disastrous—so would the absence of everyday gestures.

*Acts of Service

Can vacuuming the floors really be an expression of love? Absolutely! Anything you do to ease the burden of responsibilities weighing on an “Acts of Service” person will speak volumes. The words he or she most want to hear: “Let me do that for you.” Laziness, broken commitments, and making more work for them tell speakers of this language their feelings don’t matter.

*Physical Touch

This language isn’t all about the bedroom. A person whose primary language is Physical Touch is, not surprisingly, very touchy. Hugs, pats on the back, holding hands, and thoughtful touches on the arm, shoulder, or face—they can all be ways to show excitement, concern, care, and love. Physical presence and accessibility are crucial, while neglect or abuse can be unforgivable and destructive.

Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."
